Well what do you know, maybe alll of us that wrote letters to our members did make a difference....unlikely but Id like to think it was the case . The fact that comrade Rudd has taken it off the table demonstrates how much of a negative issue it is for them come election time.
In true socialist fasion, they tried to ram it down our throats while noone was paying attention but luckily for us the opposition held firm and blocked its pasage until there could be some thoughtful public debate.
celebrate everyone ! for the people have spoken.
Now at election time lets finish the job or it will surely be rammed through first chance they get.
