Tail shaft woes

Some of you may already know, I will be doing a manual conversion to my car in the coming months. At the moment I have everything except for clutch cable, clutch pedal for manual pedal box, clutch and manual tail shaft to suit sedan.
Im at 2 minds with the tail shaft. I dont know if its better/cheaper to find a tail shaft to suit my application from like a wrecker or salvage yard, or modify the alloy ute shaft I have in my possession. That one has a dampener on it and looks to be thicker too. Supposedly better for less backlash and resonance at higher speeds.
Any of you guys know what's involved with getting a tail shaft professionally modified? or know of anyone who has a tail shaft they want to get rid of to suit AU sedan?
Also, if any of you guys could assist with the clutch pedal too, I would be grateful.
The clutch cable I will end up buying new. Dont want to chance second hand.
The clutch I will buy new right when the the conversion is about to start. Will be going for a Exedy Sports Tuff HD organic.
Thanks in advance
