Yes that does sound weird.
At a guess, bad battery in remote/s, bad car battery, or a problem with the
BEM (body electrics module) or a faulty door lock actuator.
I would start the diagnosis by looking at the remote batteries & lock actuators.
Also, has anyone had any of the door skins off & fiddled with any internal components?
