Haven't looked carefully at the video to see where the wire was connected, but guess the relay coil side. Not sure what fuse protects that circuit but needs to be borne in mind or else there may more vaporization than expected, if there's a short in the led wiring.

Ford's policy of making things invisible to the driver doesn't work for everyone.

Smart regeranitive charging is another example. I recently found it's not working on my LX. Could be the regulator (hopefully) but it's as advertised in press releases -
invisible to the driver.

A new alternator is about $800. The last one I bought 30 years ago was $80.
