Rockwiz for example only rates cannondales made in the usa, however cannondale are still one of the best brands out there and one of the biggest innovators. They make the fastest and lightest UCI legal bike there is, so country of manufacturer doesn't really mean its an inferior product.
You're right. They made the lightest UCI bikes for years (in 6061 T6) long before carbon.
Its not a Cannondale unless it was "Handmade in the USA" in my books.

It reminds me of buying a Holden which is pretending to be Australian.
