Default Re: The bakery thread

About 2 months ago I was travelling trough Mortlake (Vic) with a friend and we stopped at Clarke's Pies/Bakery and I had a pastie for lunch; I think I actually bought a meat/veggies pastie (rather than a vegetarian pastie that I would normally buy if I wanted a pastie). It was nice. Clarke's seems to have a good reputation.

(I also saw, just at the end of the town, an old, wooden, white-with-black-letters-numbers road sign. I saw a similar one in Bendigo a few months ago, both relics from many, many decades ago. The Bendigo road sign had been installed in pre-metric days and the digits for the distances had been altered from miles to kms. I couldn't believe it when I saw it, still there today and surely a heath and safety hazard for when it eventually falls over and maims someone ........ )
