Almost everybody raised the point that it would depend entirely on the rules.
So why can't our politicians figure that out?

OP question, the answer is simple: AFL would flog NRL.
They would have more players on the field, they would pass forward, and they wouldn't abide by offside.
Then, apart from the quartertime breaks, they would keep on playing after the League players had finished.
Yes, as everybody observed, it was a stupid question. How could two groups using completely different rules possibly compete in a "free" competition?
So again I ask; why can't our pollies understand this?
That's why the concept of "free trade" (as currently applied) is a sad joke when it comes to countries such as China. It's NOT a "level playingfield" because they play by fundamentally different rules.
