My best mate has a KLR 650. Bought it when on his Ls 6-7 years ago. Loves it and finds no need to get something else.
Another mate has a 650 Vstrom. Loves it too. Nice bike to ride with a lot of gear on it.
Myself I have a Ninja 650L. Nice bike , lots of fun but probably wouldn't recommend it for a regular commute.
