Default Finally cracked 1000kms to 1 tank. TDCi

I finally did it. I finally made it over 1000kms to the tank.

I filled up yesterday on the way to work when the KMs till empty showed 0 and threw in 50.61l into the tank. Checked the dial as I was all excited to take a photo, and what did I get?

Spewing. I was hoping that a digital readout would have added another digit!!!!

Guess the few days of driving nicely to work paid off :

My fuel economy averages around 4.8l/100 so with a 53 litre tank, I can theoretically do 1100km so it's no surprise.

It looks like you took a picture of just the trip meter showing 12.4km. Everytime I fill up it says 999km and stays that way until about 50km later.

Some nice mileage there, I'm around 26,000km.

Congratulations anyway

Yeah its true about the theorical though the problem is is that it always lies, especially during the last 200kms. It drops like you wouldn't believe.... rather annoying too when you drive the that sort of economy too

How are the new wheels going too?

when i did my drive to melbourne. i did 800km in a petrol car with a 55ltr tank sitting on 110-120 the whole way. fuel consumption got down to 6.7.

but i noticed that once my odometer hit 999 it didnt go to 1000 it went back to 0 lol.
