do you think a VN SS Group A, 220kw, six spd manual, twin throttle bodies and apperently almost indestructable, would beat a ED sprint

Yep absolutely. Sprints are good, but they're not that good.

I have to admit if i had a choice out of any ford before the BA GT or a VN Group A SS,
i would definately go the Group A SS. I read somwhere that they casted special blocks for them that are tough as and all the engine internals and gear box and driveline are just unbreakable aLSO THEY f****n fly |

the sprint had more torque though. However I have a VN Group A and i think mine will beat any Sprint you give it out:

It was my daily driver, that just got out of hand. But I do still drive it a fair bit, and enjoy it that way.

Anyway I dont know which would win in a drag race prob the holden but I know which is the nicer car and unfortunately it aint the Ford. IMHO, the VN Group A was a car that stopped you in the street and made you stare at it as it went by and along with all the internal goodies it had made it a very tough car for its day. I think they were like $60,000 in 1990.

How can you compare an ss with a slightly "t" tweaked falcon.
the "norm" commodore was the same output as the first "v8" falcon after the XE, Compare Apples with oranges an you will allways come out a winner.......

I'll take a Sprint anyway. Too much bloody body kit hanging off the Group A.
