I had to get a blue slip done on my ute,NSW,they said that a blue slip, your car has to be stock, same as that car was released by the factory.
So if its been loward, exhaust ,tail lights, thats a fail ? But if it was just to renew rego it be fine they said |

Technically yeah its true , but if its legal it will be ok.
Just book it in for a blue slip inspection and see what they come up with. |

The only thing the blue slip checks is the vehicles identity, that is that the VIN and engine numbers etc all match. Does not matter about modifications etc but if they are unroadworthy it will probably fail, blue slips are tougher than pink slips.
I put a heavily modified XR8 ute through one to bring it out of VIC rego and into NSW and it passed fine.
