Au towbar

Hey all,
Will a Ford factory towbar from an Au Fairlane june 99 model fit on a Au2 2001 futura? Or are they different towbars?
Couldn't find a towbar section.. if this is wrong section please move.

Hayman reese list different part numbers for Fairlane and Falcon so they must be different.

I think you will find that the heavy duty ones are different because of the IRS.

For AU2 there are 9 different towbars:

AU2 19A009 B: Sedan with LPG

AU2 19A009 C: Sedan with no body kit and not T series

AU2 19A009 D: Sedan with Body Kit or T Series

ER 19A009 B: Wagon

NU 19A009 A: Fairlane/LTD

NR 19A009 C: Fairlan/LTD HD must use ER19R009A REINFORCEMENT.

ER 19A009 F: Wagon Heavy Duty

ER 19A009 G: Sedan Heavy Duty Less IRS use ORDER ER19R009A REINFORCEMENT

ER 19A009 H: Sedan HD With IRS ORDER ER19R009A REINFORCEMENT.


So Looks like on HD is different for IRS but Fairlane is different to SWB Sedan.
