Angry MC Mondeo Transmission Fluid

Hi. I have just been to my local ford dealer for a transmission service.
Long story, short. Told me the wrong oil was in the gearbox, and the correct oil would be $1400 plus filter etc.
They serviced the gearbox 3 years ago, and put the oil in. AX T13 LDC.
Why is this now the wrong oil.
Cannot get a satisfactory answer from Service Dept.
So my question is, What is the Correct Oil.
2011 MC Diesel Turbo with Power Shift Transmission.
Local Ford dealer, can’t or won’t tell me.
Thanks guys,

I use Fuchs Titan DCT oil.
Meets the specs, and was about $120 for 4L. (You need 7 odd litres by the time you follow the top-up procedure.
The new filter was about $60 from Ford.

How many km have you got on the car?

Currently have 250000 Klms on car. This will be second gearbox service since I have had it. I did the first when I bought it at 185000klms.

Does the MC Mondeo use the AWF21 Gearbox? I have an MB Mondeo with the 6 speed AWF and looking at the Gearbox oil it stipulates WSS-M2C924-A which Mobil ATF 3309 is compliant with. $13 a quart (950ml) on eBay.

Recommended oil for the MC 6. Speed power shift DCT is
WSS-M2C936-A. It’s equivalent is Fuchs Titan DCTF

Good.
Most important is to get them done on the 60k.
I would be talking to the service manager about the wrong oil story. And there is something wrong with the price.
I think it cost me 6-700 when Ford did mine. It hasn't changed by that much since then. I don't think the fixed price servicing portal works on our model anymore.

Yes, I was quoted $770, dropped car off. They rang me and informed me the wrong oil was in box. I showed them previous receipt. Stuffed their argument. They than said that particular oil was not available, so it will cost $1400 plus filter and labour.
Had a real debate with them and walked out.
Not first time I have had an issue with this dealer, but gave them the benefit of doubt. Not again.
AVOID MID COAST FORD TAREE.

$770!!! pwah...they really know how to hit hard! if you lived in Melbourne I'd highly recommend you take it to Pringle Automatics where it would cost half of that and you'd get a far better service and report! Pringle are the automatic specialists who repair these if required for the Ford Stealers!!! They don't share this with you!!!

Spec of WSSM2C936A is the correct oil for the MPS6 transmission and had an original Ford part number of 6U7JM2C936AA, this has been replaced by AXT13LDC worth around $40 for 1L container from Ford. So they did put the correct fluid in?

Pre fill capacity of 7.25L..

Ok, that’s fine. But why would they tell me that is/was the wrong oil, and try and charge me $1400.00 for the correct oil plus labour and filter.
Seems to me the local parts interperter couldn’t do the cross reference.
Bit of gouging going on I think.
Have been in contact with Guest Relations Manager, but no answers.

Even with having to buy 8L individually at the worse case (I am sure they most probably buy it in bulk and bit cheaper) that's $320 in oil, filter 7M5R6C631AD is also around $40. $1040 in labour?? Yep sounds like gouging to me.

Cheers. Have seen the video and if I was healthy it is something I would undertake myself, but I am not.
I have found a transmission specialist in my area that is familiar with this box, and he will be doing the service next week.
I have purchased the oil, Fuchs, and filter, and he is happy for me to supply these items.

About $350 DIY from repco. There's no secret to one bolt, a plug and a screw on filter.

Thanks guys,
If they tell you the wrong oil is in the gearbox and you can prove that THEY PUT IT THERE, demand a new gearbox.

They sound like rip off merchants anyway. Kick em in the balls.
