Default Who didnt make it into work today?

Well, living in the Hoppers/Werribee area it became impossible to get to the city this morning. I gave up after a while and came home. Seems most people in Werribee did the same.

who else gave up?

Nah...the thing with that volcanic dirt in the west is it's either too dusty or too wet...doesnt take much for either!

Wyndham waters will certainly be living up to its name today

I didn't make it into work today either, but that's probably because it's my day off...

LOL I saw RAV4 driver realise they aren't driving a real 4WD :P

I'm at work, too many ways to get here through the hills to be all blocked off. I don't think they even lost power here in Pakenham Upper.

I slept in this morning - woke up at about 7:30am when the rain stopped in the preston area. Left home about 8:35am after doing a walk around check and arrived in the St Kilda Road office at 9:05am

I still got to work, but I was holding on to the wheel with both hands and using a keen eye. I live in Ballarat and travel to Essendon everyday, and yeah, the Western Freeway was pretty hairy. Lots of water on the road. Not much visibility either, especially when near another vehicle. A fair few cars must have aquaplaned off the road near Melton last night. Cops were out there sorting things out and slowing everyone down.

haha first time in ages that i've had two hands on wheel also, still got to work on time but left 5 mins early from geelong to hoppers, took an extra 1&1/2 hours to get home though. i won't be going to work tommorrow if it rains all night again too Dangerous, i start at 6am and its pitch black when i leave,
oh and a bad day at home is still better than a good day at work.

I had a job interview today, but the highway was flooded, so the bloke couldn't get to me. The job I'm in now was closed due to flooding.

I'll get paid for it, thats not an issue in my job. My boss laughed when I told her and she said she would have given up too.

Had a job in Mornington and then my next job was in Geelong so instead of going all the way around to Geelong via the city and all the traffic jams and part closed roads around Werribee and Little River,i caught the Ferry from Sorrento to Queenscliff a great trip and a good run too.
Cheers John
