Default P2P Programs

Since one of my computers died the other week I've been unable to find a P2P program that isn't riddled with spyware or garbage of a similar nature, WHERE can I download a simple program with no crap!?!? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

lol look what you've started :

seriously though they're all reasonable and each have their flaws. I've tried most if not all of them and so far I think Ares is good for dial up and bit torrent is superb for broadband but everyone has different ideas and tastes.

I download a lot of mp3s thats why I use Ares, emule and edonkey use a different way of finding files than P2P and usually it's hard to find hosts for smaller files (e.g pictures and music)

Emule PLUS. Better control over upstream, so you can control those leaching pricks.

more and more corrupted files do seem to be finding their way into limewire these days, but at least it detects them kind of....even if it does wait till you've downloaded 99% most times

Azureus - best BitTorrent client there is. I use bixbit because the downloads are not part of my usage due to the peer network with Netsapce, inet, etc.

I find winmx is very good for files but the delays to get the connection started can be long.
