I still can't get over the fact that they lost $10 billion in 2005. Another year or so and they're stuffed. Not good news for the lads and gals at Fisherman's Bend and Elizabeth.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the losses after one offs like Delphi were close to $US5 billion. That's a big loss in anyones language.

From what i understand what is killing the US Car behemoth's is the historical workers entitlements.. (as pointed out by Goldie) it is crushing their ability to compete... not to mention they have been slow to react to market trends also...

time to get with the times lets work casual live at home in a small unit with all our brothers and sisters and thier families. by 10kgs of rice and 5 kgs of fish per week . i'm sick of ripping off the system .

Didn't say I agree with it, but thats whats happening, same stuff happens here. A lot of the VE commodore is being made overseas, why because its cheaper - nett result less jobs here, which is ironic because less jobs here mean fewer people can buy a VE commodore.
