Exclamation BMW V12 Motorbike !!!!!

If 8 cylinders are good then 12 cylinders are better, right? We showed you the BMW V8 motorcycle the other day and now we’ll show you what happens when someone takes a 5.5 liter BMW V12 and builds a drag bike around it. HMS Sportbikes, over in Germany, has been working on this project, taking the engine from a BMW 750i and creating something a little more sporting. They say it will have twin turbos and NOS but it looks to be a bit short of complete at this point.

I would think traction would an issue with that much power? But damn that would be a hell of a ride!

Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Trev has owned several boosted fords and has really contributed a lot of info on them. His posts in the bike section are also very helpful. I think he should be recognised as a technical contributor.

It is long, fat and heavy so monos won't be too much of a problem and the big fat rear tyre will only be good for straight lines. Only suitable for a dragstrip, wouldn't go round a corner in a fit.

Yeah but how insanely scary and fun would it be.

Surely we all dream of sampling a 500hp turbo busa some time in our life?

Didn't the first post say that it was a DRAG bike..... Who cares if it doesn't go around corners.... Thats the whole point of it, to go in a straight line, very fast!!

I know pictures are helpful, but everyone should also read the words.....

I should have rephrased my wording to - "seems like a pointless exercise to me" as IMO riding is more exciting going around corners than in a straight line.

Although I am sure others get their rocks off with a drag bike. :

I too prefer going around corners. But ya gotta admit that thing would give an awsome buzzzz......... Cheers.
