Default Help? How to transport fibreglass hood?

I need to transport a fibreglass hood (bonnet) from Perth (actually 80km outside Perth?) to regional Victoria. Any ideas on who could collect, pack and transport it door-to-door? I think the biggest issue is the "packing" bit as it's actually an original 1971 part and probably pretty fragile. Any help greatly appreciated ..

Dont know of anyone who will collect it, package it, then deliver it door to door, but there would be more companies out there who would be interested if you organise packing it and maybe if possible drop it off at a depot.

Packaging I can help with. Basicly, it's going to get belted to hell. Study wooden crate with lots of foam or bubble wrap. What you want is the part to stay put inside the crate. Make it known it is fragile and demand topload only, use signs saying so all over the package.

Go to yor local , or closest Windscreen shop, nd ask for some old windscreen crates! They usually have to pay to get then taken to the tip so they should give them to you for nuthin! get a couple, carefully dismantle them , and build a new crate for you bonnet ! This is how I pack things I have to send by freight companies . Best idea is to get a box of bulk wood screws from bunnings for about $12 to $15 and theres about 1000 screws of varying lengths !

Which town outside of Perth is it?
Most of the regional areas have a Startrack depot, who I'm sure will pack if necessary.
Can't the seller organise something from their end?

Thanks guys .. I'm still unsure about this. The guy who shipped it originally from Melb to Perth *might* be able to help me ship it back. Again, the issue is the packing, 'cos the seller doesn't want to be bothered with it.

I don't have his actual address yet, be he mentioned names of Gin Gin, Gabbadah and More River which seems to be North.

I asked him to sell it to me .. he isn't *trying* to sell. He's doing me a favour, so I need to do whatever I can to make the whole process easier.

Gingin, Moora and Moore River are all about 1 hour north of Perth. Haven't heard of Gabbadah though. Might be a small town nearby.
The hardest part would be the packing, as fibreglass panels are very fragile if thrown around.
If you crate it up with wood, like suggested, there goes your freight bill on all the added weight. Probably heaps of bubblewrap and cardboard would be the go.
