hi, i have a series 1 EA that has the radiator that is to small, so the car ran a little hot today. any advise on what can be done?

Why is the radiator too small? I thought there was only one for EA. Id look at the thermostat and make sure the radiators flowing properly and doesnt have any blocked cores, collapsed hoses etc. Make sure the cap is good, headgasket etc.
Water pump might not be pumping properly, have you checked the belts etc? Advice, if it is too small get a radiator to suit before summer fully kicks in. Otherwise go to a radiator specialist and get them to leak test the system and check for a blown headgasket. Theyve got a simple test for it. they should be able to advise if the pump isnt pumping fully too. |

ok, it could be blocked somewhere. i think they did have problems with the first lot of radiators made for the EA's?

well poor maintenance its old by now and a clutch fan, cooling problems are bound to happen, you probably are missing the bottom plastic plate as well.
try thermos first, failing that get a new radiator, on ebay though some reasonable deals on radiator/thermo fan combos can be had.
