hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows what the weight difference between a mk2 escort and a mk1 capri would be? Both with 2 litre pinto engines. I'm just curious as i am considering ether for my next car. Cheers, WiggyMK2 |

The Escort will have both accelleration and handling advantages over the 2L Capri. I have an RS 2000 and a GT 3000 Capri. Naturally there is no comparison in acceleration with the 3L but the Escort still handles the better. The Capri gets more looks - it's amazing how many young people notice it and actually know quite a bit about them.

I think the orignal stated wiht for a 3.0l mk1 capri was 1060kg and the 1600cc was about 980kg. Don't know if if that was dry or wet though.
