Default New falcon finally turned up at the dealer

Our new G6E Turbo turned up at he dealer the other day 6 months after ordering it. The only reason I found this out was on sunday while looking at the new ranger I spyed the car down the back tucked away in the lot with all the pd stickers still on. After emailing the dealer on Monday and not getting a response I called him yesterday to find out when we can have the car and he says there is a problem the car has no rear spoiler like you ordered we will have to get it in that's our policy anyway so you can have it without and we will fit it later or you can wait two weeks, what a frickin joke Ford. SIX MONTHS!!!! Do they always dealer fit spoilers or did he forget to order it with the car?

Dont think ford would do it at the factory, would have to do it with the dealer.

True, I bet they don't make you wait 6 months for a car in third world countries.

Or in six months, with no spoiler

You can order a car from Europe and have it delivered quicker.

^ Kind of agree but good luck cancelling it, dealer would have already paid for it. The small FGX spoiler might not look too bad. Bit of a shame they didn't do a lip for FGX.

But the great thing about the G6E is it isn't spoilt by having a spoiler!

6 months is a bit excessive, its not like it comes from overseas.
if accessories are fitted at the dealership, they should be ordered in advance, and planned to be fitted when the car arrives at the dealer.

Spoiler is dealer fit, and it has to be sent out and painted.

The spoiler was gonna be a dealer fit for the G6E.

^ This.

You might actually prefer it without one, otherwise it will make you appreciate it. But no way would I leave my FG X sitting there waiting for scratches and dents, plus it needs to be driven!

To be fair , the company is in the throes of shutting up shop, probably working with a skeleton crew, i would not be expecting fast build/supply times.

On such a class car spoilers are lame anyway they're probably doing you a favor lol. Grab the car and enjoy (Y)

There is no factory fit spoiler on a G6E Turbo !

An XR6 Spoiler ( fitted by the dealer) on a FGX G6ET is sooo lame.

Cancel it, and keep the car standard ( unless you can get a lip spoiler from somewhere that fits ).

Waited 6 months surely another few weeks won't kill you. The dealer is doing the right thing by you , you don't really think he wants it to be sitting taking up room do you.
Be patient it will be worth it.

It's a matter of personal taste but imo they look better with no spoiler any way.

Ewww, I'm thinking of the wiring, spigot and bolt holes they will be cutting into the bootlid, making a mess which you wont see.

G6ET lip spoiler FTW. Much better. And they wont need to change the brake light.

Apparently the FG boot lid spoiler doesn't fit.

I was thinking perhaps that was the case. So then I would modify and fit an aftermarket one after delivery. They would be easy to work with fibreglass to make the required changes. Or even make one from scratch.

I had an XR spoiler on the BA Ghia I had; the holes they made were atrocious so from experience I would avoid people I don't know putting any holes in my bootlid. Factory fit with XR bootlid, or none at all.

It really sounds like they have waited for the car to arrive, before taking any action about the spoiler... poor planning
or Perhaps they thought it would be cancelled. because they do look better without
