I had the first time last week where I couldn't get in to my car in the morning because the door had frozen shut! Couldn't lift the door handle until I broke the ice, and then couldn't open the door either!
We regularly have overnight temperatures below zero here in the Barossa.

I had something similar happen to me a couple of months ago, although not as extreme. I had to get up at about 5.00am for work in extremely cold weather, I walked out to the car, unlocked it, grabbed the handle, then realised it was stuck. I had to pull the handle hard and grab on to the top of the door at the same time to get it open. The whole car was covered in ice.

Mine was at 7:20am with the sun coming up!
The Falcon is regularly covered in ice in the mornings as it spends it's time outside. The Pug gets the cover of the garage, mainly because a) it's newer, and b) I leave for work before the wife does.

It has been getting down to zero and below out here for a month or so. But we never get frost beacuse the atmosphere is just too dry.

To me, thats cold for bloody QLD. Plus all our fruit and veg out the back died due to ice the other morning.
