Default any guesses at the price of a hyundai excel clutch?

after some quick help,

looking for a cheap daily hack and i have found a hyundai excel for a good price, but it has a blown clutch - anyone care to hazard a guess as to what one would be worth? (even if you have the price for other cars, just to give me some idea, ie is it a few hundred or a grand)

thanks in advance

-tim

My sister just replaced the clutch in her lantra. I think it was around $400 for a workshop job from memory.

DOHC or SOHC model? I think they had different clutches. At a guess anywere from $150.00 to $300.00 wouldn't suprise me.

I will ask my brother if he remembers how much it cost. He did a clutch kit himself a while back.

Please don't buy it...

A week ago, my sisters friends car got stolen ( hyundai excel ) but ran out of fuel. So they rolled it into a creek and torched it.
She was heaps upset for days then got a call from the police, saying that her stuff had been found in another excel that had been stolen. This one was on its roof with the back window kicked in, stuck in a ditch. Some lady heard them arguing after they rolled it into the ditch at like 3 in the morning. Turns out they stole ANOTHER excel after that and couldn't get it up a hill. left the handbrake off aswell, so it rolled down into a tree. Police are hoping to get fingerprints from the other 2 at the moment and she didn't have insurance...
Excels have the highest theft rate behind the VN commodore.

They were doing society a good service by removing those two death traps from our roads.

A Hyundai is like a battery - once dead, throw away & buy a new one.

If you want rechargables you buy something decent!

The old owner is probably getting rid of it because it would cost them more to repair the clutch than they'd get back from selling it once its done.
