Really though, was a tad boring in essence.. would have been far better if Aussies batted first

I am looking forward to 15/15, then 10/10.

It's a good money earner (20-20), but I still don't believe anything can beat Test Cricket.

Despite the controversy, the test series was good because it was well fought and competitive. Too many one sided matches are just boring and bad for the game in general. With 20/20 cricket, the game is so short and fast paced that anything can happen. Teams can easily score 200+ but they can also be bowled out for under 100 on a bad day. That is the nature of this format of the game.

Glad to see somebody got it. (on ya Trik)

Test Cricket is real cricket where you choose your shots and take your time building a good score.

50/50 is risk taking and smash and bash. I don't like it. I don't mind one-dayers. 20/20 is prostitution.

Test Cricket is real cricket.

I agree. The longer the format the more skill is required. It is far easier to sustain a good batting/bowling performance over 40 overs than it is over 5 days. In test cricket the better team usually wins. In the 20/20 format even the minnows have a chance to win. It is good fun when the batting is good but usually it is too chaotic for my liking.

that was absolutely pathetic last night. obviously the ch9 commentary were watching a different game to me as they kept carrying on about how good it was and such entertainment. if i'd paid to go see that i would want my money back.

it was obvious in the days leading up to it that india weren't going to take it seriously and it showed.

even after india got slautered i was annoyed at the way the aussies went about the run chase. with the depth of talent in the side it would've been nice for the top 4 at least to just go out and swing the bat and at least give a few more guys a taste of the atmosphere.

at least there is only 1 of them and hopefully they can offer a bit of resistance in the odi's.

also hopefully all the groundsmen are up to the task and have prepared decent pitches, not the flat slow excuse for a pitch last night. i believe 1 day cricket is about the batsmen. if the bowlers are good enough they'll still take wickets.

I believe last nights game had the potential to be sensational, sadly it fell short thanks to India's dismal performance batting, from then on in it was so one sided it wasnt funny

Totally agree. A 20/20 game that lasted about 27 overs in total is a joke. I can't see the value in this type of cricket, sure it looks good sometimes but for 84,000 people to pay good money for that, is wrong IMO. Mind you i think they only got that crowd as it was Gilly's last 20/20 game. Also you would've thought India would have played Tendulkar & Gangully for a 1 off game, those are the guys people pay to see. I realise they weren't in the world cup winning team but according to India after the game, they were treating it as a practise match :

unfortunetly i did pay to go and see that game. the atmosphere was great but the indians looked like they didn't even want to be there. everyone sitting around me at least felt pretty ripped off by that performance. the only highlight of course was gilly.

Nah I didn't want my money back. Hearing 84,000 people chant "you are a w4nker" when Harbhjan Singh came out to bat. bowl or pretty much did anthing was worth the price of admission alone

i did not pay good money to see, so my judgement may be clouded - but i thought it was the perfect result. harbi still has yet to win a game over here, it is all good.
the problem with sport is you never know what you are going to get. sometimes a great contest, sometimes a demonstration by one team. i can appreciate both ways

don't get me wrong it was a great performance by the aussies but i think everyone expected more competition from the indians after the test series.

I enjoyed the game despite the dismal performance India showed. I personally like aussie dominance, but yes, a bit of a fight is always enjoyable to watch too. Yes I know, thats a typical diplomatic reply. :P

Well done to the Aussies, hope they dish out more punishment to the Indians, send them home with their tails between their legs.

Yeah, it awesome watching Harbijan smash 27 of 19balls.

Funny how the crowd stopped booing and ST(insert expletive:P)U. Pity it rained again, the visitors were on fire at the end.

Go the Indians.

I have to say for someone who is calling for equality in the game I find this an odd post. The pitch was obviously very adversely affected by rain after the first rain delay in the Australian innings, remember we got off to a cracker of a start. There was bugger all swing all night up until that point. After the rain delay(s) the ball was swinging a good foot either way.

Now how can you say the Indians were on fire when it was a tale of two matches? hardly a fair and level contest now was it.
