About 800 units short on that mark Josh.

Hilux - 3529
Ford Utes (Falcon, Ranger 4x2, Ranger 4x4) - 2723

Damn shame to see Mondeo (356) floundering a little, still having supply problems?

Fiesta and Focus need to do better, they deserve better than what they're selling.
I am staggered as to why so many Corollas are being bought, I understand most would be fleet but still. I guess Toyota can give fleet discounts like no other.

In reallity the Aurion/Camry twins are the biggest selling car in Australia this month. At the end of the day, they are the same car with different motors/gearboxes, the same as Commodores and Falcons in there respective sales totals.

Not during the 2006 year - and I doubt that's changed. 40% fleet, 60% private.

Meanwhile falcon was 88% fleet.....

The figures are sure to create big headaches for Australia's four local manufacturers, which all make large cars.

Private consumers buy four times as many Corollas as they do locally built Falcons and four-cylinder Camrys. Private sales of Corolla are more than double those of Commodore....

The figures reveal that 88 per cent of Falcon buyers are fleet customers, compared with 81 per cent for Commodore.

The Toyota Corolla, which is overall the country's second biggest seller, sells mainly (60 per cent) to private buyers.

Still makes Corollas private sales less than the Mazda 3.

I was looking at this

http://fordforums.com.au/pub_images/SUV%2008%2001.gif

And add in the new model Kluger sales, and the introduction of the Mazda CX9, together with no model replacement of the Territory for at least a couple of years then I don't see the Territory being able to hold its ground any longer than the next 12 months.

I'm worried that the Aurion was only a few units behind the Falcon!

Commodore sales are shocking! Are they due for a model upgrade soon??

I am simply shocked that so many people buy Toyotas! Do people actually look at the price and specs of cars or do they blindly walk into a Toyota dealer with a blank check??

Hopefully the FG will thump Toyota but I think something scarier will happen. I think Falcon sales will simply eat into Commodore sales meaning 2008 Corolla will be the best selling car.....

We really are a dumb country......

No actually ..... they are shocking!

Holden hierarchy are very (actually extremely) concerned considering the FG is around the corner. Any movement away from C'dores to FG, and with all other FORD products going to expectations, there will be a switching of the 2 & 3 position! This year?

There are major worries happening at the red centre with a very lack lustre Daewoo collection on offer and a C'dore that was a 'billion dollar' investment not emphatically beating an old BF model!

By all reports Mondeo have exceded expectations and is just keeping in line with supply. Dealers are NOT in a position to discount or offer 'favours' for these models. Pricing is fairly tight.

The Mondeo truly is a gem, I'm surprised that supply is meeting demand to be honest. If they had just put a little more go in the performance model, it would have been a serious contender in my recent car purchase. I took a test drive of the Mondeo several months ago but just didn't cut it being heavier than the Focus with the same donk.
