Default Dyno Tuning Job $116 000k package

Hi Guys, I have checked it OK to post this with the moderators first. We have a postion for an experienced Dyno tuner at our shop here in Mackay Nth QLD. We have purchased a new Mainline 4wd 1500hp dyno for our new shop. Now the shop will trade as HDT central QLD as we build new HDT VE retro's but we are wanting to do Falcons/Territory's and subaru's as well seeing as we have the AWD dyno. I am a loyal Ford guy so rest assured that we will be building a BF/FG test car not to mention my 250 pursuit. We are buying all of the tuning software for all 3 brands as well. The person we are looking for will bring a proven ability to tune some of the above brands with other tuning experience as well (Autronic/Haltec/Motec). This is a good paying job with a $100K salary plus super and annual leave making it a $116600 total package. If you are interested or know someone who is please contact us to discuss this further. My number is 0427 592 086 or shane.w@evereadytech.com.au
I would like to thank Ford Forums for allowing this post which could be a great opportunity for someone.

Shane

Sounds like a great opportunity. I certainly wish I had the required experience as a move to beautiful Mackay I could deal with.... It's freezing in Tassie today.
Good luck to the successful Applicant.

Some super drag cars from here, amazing given they only have a 1/8 strip.
Plenty of coin to be blown by youngens!

Good Luck EATurbo!

I was up there for a job six months ago (just after the flood) and I was walking down the main street and every single car was brand new. I you not! There was not one second hand or car older than 5 years driving around.

90% of the people there are mine workers one way or another.

Lucky for me I can earn way more than them in Brisbane! I got paid $3000 for 2 hours work on that weekend LOL!

Rest assured, there are plenty of old cars up here. Yes there are a fair amount of newer cars due to the higher "disposable incomes" here but still.

You have an interesting job to pay that amount of coin. Is it sustainable? :

Don't be skeptical about the money. I used to manage the workshop, and know EATURBO very well (best man at my wedding!). These guys are chasing a serious tuner with demonstrated experience, and are prepared to pay for that skill. 10.9 out of your car with your tune..... you may be tested!

I would have stayed, but the conditions in the mining industry were hard to ignore.....not $3000 for 2 hours good though :(

I was never into drag racing, And quite content with my 310rwkw tune, until i was pushed to drag it,

First outting, 11.7, on my daily tune.
Second outing, 11.4, pushed the boost up a little to 18psi
Third outing, 11.14, retuned my car for shell 100, pushing power up further
changed my convertor, and at FOrd nationals i ran 10.90 @ 127mph in the heat, I'm sure there's more in it given i know it performs better in the cold air of calder park!.

Keep in mind, this is a Unopened BA engine, Not a F6 spec engine. there's only a handful of them going around in australia in the 10's (and even smaller amount still alive)

I've earn't my reputation tuning XR6 Turbos here in Victoria, Mainly due to workshop "stuff arounds", and they end up coming to me... Says alot considering I do this stuff as a hobby.

But this would go as no surprise considering I was involved in the early days with SCT's development of the AU and BA "edit" for us Aussies. You'd hope i'd have a better understanding of the Ford PCM than most based on that alone.

I have a number of references of a number of workshops I provide ongoing tuning support to if in any doubt.

But my main problem would be Moving from Vic to Mackay Qld. The money doesn't make it attractive for me given my current day job (in IT) is pretty close to that figure anyways.

That was a one off though!! Just been through Emerald (not me other employees) and racked up $10K in 4 days, 2 of which was driving from Brisbane Emerald and back.

I don't personally make that money, the business does, I own a small share though :evil3:

Can we please keep on topic guys, I dont give 2 Nobs who gets what, I just want a tuner and with a $116000 package surely someone out there is chasing a sea change. Did i mention that we have 30 guys working out the mines for us as well and that HDT is a subsidary of Eveready Technologies, so we are here to stay.

So does that mean you didn't give Danny/Headsex consideration?

As with any job we would need to talk with him, but based on what i have heard he would be a walk up starter. There is some big competition up here with Fords and Holdens. Blueboost is from Mackay and is one of the best tuners around, I believe that Danny has what it takes to be the best or as good as if not already. We would be happy to send him to be trained on Holden tuning too should he not already have the knowledge. The other option is we just buy the GM tuning software and throw him in an SS on the dyno for a few weeks. This is a great opportunity and i would take on the job had i not already been involved to deeply in the mining devision. I dont think people realise how awesome it would be being part of the HDT given its history. I am a ford man but some of the stuff i have learnt about HDT has blown me away. Brock use to get guys come in off the street and he would build them a car with 1 off stuff on them, whatever they wanted. Than the customer would pick it up from the dealer. Not even the dealer would know what was on it. I mean they would just walk in off the street and brock would say how you going mate what can i do for you. Imagine doing that at HSV.

You could say they have yes! Position was filled very quickly indeed, and young Jez is a top bloke.
