Default Bolt pattern/PCD of the Fiesta WS and WT

I have a question regarding the bolt pattern/pcd of the wheels on the Fiesta WS (German) and the newer Fiesta WT (Thailand).

I'm sure the bolt pattern/pcd of the WT is the same as the WS because the european 7-spoke alloy wheels are offered as an optional accessory on the Thai-made Fiesta in some markets, but some still claim they are different.

I just want to confirm with WS owners and WT owners.
Do the wheels of the Fiesta WS and WT use the same bolt pattern/pcd?
If they do, is it 4 x 100 or 4 x 108?

Thanks, Twinpiston.
I know there was Fiesta WT owner here and he put aftermarket wheels. I can't seem to find that old thread that had photos of his car (it was a black Fiesta hatchback, looked like a lower end model, probably a CL).

Most say that the bolt patter/PCD is 4x108, but this guy claims that the Thai Fiesta has a bolt pattern/PCD thats 4x100.

PCD of 100 is about 10cm, PCD of 108 is 10.8cm, so its should be almost 11cm if the PCD is 108.

@dannyhilton, as an owner of a German Fiesta WS, what do you think?
Same PCD or different?

I suppose it comes down to how you define the PCD. Me, well I bought my car because it had Bluetooth and drove great, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about technical stuff haha!

This a bit of a silly question but has anyone put in 225/40 18 inch tyres into a ws fiesta (I have a set of these) ? The us version has a 195/60 15 which is 615mm in height compared 637mm for 225/40 18. I believe the us version has slight different ratios in their gearbox. I do mostly freeway running so am not overly concerned about acceleration. The standard aussie 15 inch however has quite small tyres 576mm in height I think for. Is 60mm taller wheel and tyres a bit too much notwithstanding those in the us where it is only 22mm difference?

An owner of a Thai-made Fiesta (the guy who measured it) and another owner who bought aftermarket wheels for his Thai-made Fiesta. They both claim the PCD is 100.

With a little research, the PCD is is measured from the center of the bolts.

What do you guys think?

yep stems back to the old imperial measurement of 4x 4 1/4 inches... the focus and mondeo are 5x108. very hard to source a decent variety of wheels locally. there's plenty if you want to buy from overseas like i did.

try this website for calculations... http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

those sizes you mention make your speedo out by 3.6% (slow) meaning you are going to be going faster than your indicated speed.

also something to consider, not sure what width tyre you are looking at, but the XR4 had 17" wheels 7.5" wide and had to have spacers put into the steering rack to stop the wheels scrubbing out inside the guards on full lock. made the turning circle like a cruise liner!!

Thanks mondo broady now I can throw away the casio. I was thinking 225 wide and 40% aspect on 18 inch. They're good brand name tyres and it would be a waste not to use such nioce tyres.

Turning circle is not too much of an issue as I live in a rural area. I think the latest fiesta has the rack limiter if you opt for the 17 inch rims. I am just wondering whether anyone has put such large wheels and tyres and what issues they have experienced.

haha can't believe i asked that after using the 225 in the wheel calculator!! doh!! like i said, you might find you have issues with the steering at full lock scrubbing the inside of the tyre?? i'd be checking that one with Ford if i were you?? for what it's worth, i think 18" on a Fez is overkill. The 17" on the XR4 look the ducks guts... not sure what the latest Zetec comes with, 16" or 17" and i reckon they look good....

you might find someone with a XR5 focus will take those tyres off you hands as that is what fits their cars...

Have just purchased WT with aftermarket CSA's and they offer the following for the Fiesta as recommended by Ford, 4 stud PCD is 4/108 with 45 offset in sizes 15x6, 16 x 6.5 and 17x7.......... Zetec will be coming with 16's...........

Wow, this is getting more confusing... specs say a PCD of 108, but the photo of the Thai-made Fiesta's wheel shows a PCD of 100 (100mm or 10cm)

If only someone with a German WS could also post a photo with a ruler too, so we can see what a PDC of 108 looks like.

PS: This guy from Malaysia installed 17 inch wheels with a PCD of 100 on his new Thai-made Fiesta.

I know the dodgy ruler has some strange markings, but it is very accurate and shows pretty much spot on 108mm. This in on a 2009 WS Fiesta Zetec with 17" Ford Alloys.

And the wheels are so dirty as it's been flooding in Toowoomba today. Haha.

Thailand Fiesta: bolt pattern/PCD 4x100(?)

German Fiesta: bolt pattern/PCD 4x108

Looks like they're different. :(

Check this out, the bolts on the Thai-made Fiesta really look closer to the center (PCD 100?), while the German Fiesta has its bolts spread out a bit more (PCD 108).

Whats odd, is based on this photo, the Thai-made Australian market Fiesta (WT) Zetec uses the wheels of the German Fiesta Zetec S (blue car above)

Doesn't make sense for Ford to manufacture different-sized wheel hubs and rims for the same car.

Thats what I was thinking too.

Any WT Fiesta LX owners here?
The WT Fiesta LX appears to be using the same 15 inch wheels as the ASEAN Fiesta Trend.

Can any of the WT Fiesta LX or CL owners check if your wheel's PCD is 100.

might i suggest it's possible those pics above of the red & blue cars are an optical illusion?? the one that looks to be smaller PCD is taken at the same level as the wheel and directly in front. the other two are taken from above and to the side of the wheels and perhaps giving the illusion of more "meat" between the centre cap and the bolt holes??

Thats what I thought too until a Fiesta owner measured the PCD of the wheels on his Thai-made ASEAN Fiesta.
10cm = 100mm = PCD 100.

I guess the ruler doesn't lie.

The Australian spec Thai-made Fiesta WT appears to be using the european model's PCD of 108.

@mondo_broady, this one is not exactly the same angle, but you can clearly see the difference of the PCD 100 wheels of the Thai-made ASEAN spec Fiesta and the PCD 108 wheels of the German Fiesta.

My god, I wonder why they thought that was a bright idea? You'd think the whole 'One Ford' thing would be cutting down on such stupidity, surely it'd be more expensive to produce both the 100 and 108 spec PCD rather than just make 108 the standard?

Definitely a trap for people buying rims overseas.

Yeah, thre are already some disappointed Fiesta owner who wanted to order the euro 17 inch Ford Fiesta wheels.

Looks like Thailand is producing 2 kinds of models, the ASEAN one with PCD 100 wheels and the Australian market WT with PCD 108 wheels.

The ASEAN model is probably using Mazda 2 hubs (PCD 100?)
I'm guessing the Australian model uses PCD 108 wheels because the German WS model sold earlier has PCD 108 wheels too... maybe so they can share the same wheel options or aftermarket wheels?

I'm curious now about the 7-spoke wheels sold as an accessory in the ASEAN markets (see linke below), it looks identical to the wheels of the German-made Fiesta WS Zetec.

http://www.ford.co.th/servlet/Conten...age&site=FTHEN

Did Ford make a PCD 100 version of these wheels.

Before I forget, thank you guys for replying.

@dannyhilton, thank you for taking that photo with the ruler showing the PCD 108 wheels of the German Fiesta.

Will head to the local Ford dealer with a ruler and camera and check some of the Thai build models out. Seems very strange to have two different settings?

That would be interesting.

By the way, I took a photo of the 15 inch ASEAN spec Fiesta alloy wheels, just in case you want to compare it (visually) to the 15 inch wheels of the Fiesta WT LX sold there.
