Hi Guys. Just wondering if anyone knows a good site for wheels for the Mondeo. I'm thinkin about getting a set of aftermarket rims for the XR5, but not sure where to start. Just wondering if anyone has any good sites or recommendations for places to start looking.
Thanks

There's not a lot of choice for euro Ford wheels because the Mondeo has an unusual PCD pattern (5x108) and a high offset (55 mm). You might have more choice than we do in NZ, otherwise you could check out suppliers in the UK.
I bought a set of Italian wheels last year (MAK) on special. Better quality than most of the aftermarket stuff and full CE approval.

dwayne, there's heaps of links in the wheel threads at XR5turbs. you can still log on there yeah?
btw... i just fitted a set of LV Focus snowflakes to my Mondeo. Looks absolutely sex!! btw... offset from 45-55 is ok. my previous wheels (motegi's) were 45 offset and looked great, filled the arch better than stockers did. the focus wheels are 52.5 but still look ok.

Any chance you can post a pic of your Mondeo with the LV rims? I'd love to see how it turned out. No, I'm not a member there anymore. Thanks Dwayne |

This might sound odd but is the size/offset the same as the Focus?
If so the Ford Racing catalog has some nice rims for the Focus/Feista.

Focus wheels are fine, I nearly bought a set of 18" XR5 rims for my first Mondeo but was concerned about the ride on what pass for roads in NZ.

Thanks Dallas. I do love the LV rims. Those are 19's. I wonder how much better the bigger size looks. They look great in 18's. I do like the factory Mondeo ones, but I'm looking for a change.
The other day I saw a sea grey XR5 with some nice dished rims. Seen it twice now and both times I've been stuck in traffic unable to get back around in time. If I can ever catch up, will take some pics. The rims were a dish style and I'm pretty sure painted centres with a chrome dish. In motion, looked really nice and really complimented the shape of the Mondeo. This is really what has prompted me to go for something different. |

Hey bucky if you have some money to burn while the dollar is good, why not get some billets made up? you can choose whatever offset and pattern u need. Also any finish.

You will be surprised how cheap you can get a set of billet wheels in from the states.
http://driverzinc.com/ is a good place to go through.

I've finally fitted the MAK wheels to my new Mondeo. I'll post some pics when I've cleaned the car - I'm working in a quarry at the moment and the car is covered in mud!
The Falken F K-452 tyres are WAY better then the OEM Goodyear "Excellence" rubbish.
