Hi All,
My girlfriend upgraded to a new Focus about 6 months ago and is wanting to sell her old 2001 Ka. We took it in to be roadworthied today, and were quoted around $1500 worth of fixes.... Does anyone have tips of where to pick up parts at a more reasonable price? They quoted us: Brake master cylinder - $550 (leaking) Rubber hoses to front brakes - $131 each Tie rod ends - $135 Any tips would be greatly appreciated - maybe the master cylinder could be rebuilt rather than replaced? |

Ebay definitely even after shipping it will probably still be cheaper. maybe www.european-parts.net but I don't think they will have them.

Thanks for the help so far guys. I just picked it up - and it turns out the $550 was just to rebuild the master brake cylinder... what are they smoking? A rebuild kit on ebay is ~$25.
They also managed to break the bonnet release lever. I had a look at the leak, there are literally a few drips accumulated on the end near the booster... |

you can get all those bit for about $300 from eurocarparts.com and all brand new and will take about 10days to get here usually
