A Falcon with that nose treatment would be a bold move, the next stepfor FG III?

I think that Falcon would go with something more of a rounded nose.

Though judging by the back end... could be good. (Max Wolff showing Derek Kuzak.)

God that looks great, imagine a full range of body styles and petrol/diesel engines.
Fords have the best global design of any other car company. |

CD4 Mondeo will arrive in 2013 and have different nose/tail but effectively it's the
same car with diesel options , hatchback and station wagon forms continuing. |

for Euro markets, most of the work is shifting 5-door hatch and station wagon onto the new styling and implementing changes to electrical and mechanical systems, possible Plug In Hybrid Mondeo...... Fusion/Mondeo will look very similar, who will want FGII when they see the new global pair.... Last edited by jpd80; 08-01-2012 at 08:43 AM. |

Well Euro market buyers might not want their car looking like a yank car...different tastes and all that...

Would he have enough time to add much to it though, he's only been in the job, what 6 months?
Wouldn't give him much time to change anything. |

He'll get that chance but it will take a few years before it all starts to flow through because of the lead times.

Have you seen the 2013 MKS? It's better but still bad.

The thing I find funny about EUCD, particularly as they are using it going forward, is the fact that Ford sold Volvo. They had done all the hard work and arguably had Volvo in a better position, platform wise, than Ford/Lincoln. I agreed with them selling all their other divisions, and closing Mercury; the platforms where a mess with no way forward or had limited sales potential.
However I truly feel that Volvo was one step to far... The hard work was done, and the extra contribution the Volvo sales made to platform and tech r&d, would have been easy money. (Overall.) Half a million sales would be easy going forward.

However, with the debt that FoMoCo had at the time, the money generated from the Volvo sale was greater than what Lincoln would have ever been worth and with the replacement of the intermediate Mercury division with the Titanium trim level and the separation of Lincoln into almost it's own company, I think FoMoCo took the better overall long-term choice rather than try to play with Merc/Linc. for another 5 years, wasting money (they don't have) in the meantime. Now, take what I have just said, reverse it, and you have what GM is still doing -_- |
