Wonder who his boss was to have a car like that, and lend it to an employee. |

I hope he doesn't work for a "family" business - he might get a parting gift - some nice new shoes for swimming.

If I was his boss, I'd be screaming for my car back - and you best believe they better give it back!

Did he expect an employee he loaned it too to not thrash it.
Could anyone seriously get loaned a Ferrari and not at least once use every bit of its performance. |

Never said he lost his job, it is an implied title. Would you keep an employee who goes out in your couple hundred grand car and thrashes it, resulting in it's being impounded? If it were me they would be terminated on the spot.

I told my boss about this story today.
He laughed. He doesn't own a Ferrari.

My boss loaned me his car once back when I was 18 in 1983...it was a brand new Sigma GSR sports model...2.6, five speed, all the trimmings. Beautiful car. He wanted me to drive it into town and pick up some packs of test seeds for the tomato farm.
I hopped in, started it up...1900km on the clock...and swung the wheel left instead of right and reversed it out of the park quickly... ...and promptly tore one side of the front bumper and right hand headlight off it as it hooked on a post I hadn't noticed... No, I didn't lose my job...he was really good about it. Oh, and if someone is ****ed (because at "just under" 0.08 you're driving is seriously impaired by alcohol, whether you know it or not), doing burnouts and driving erratically around the middle of town, I want them arrested before they kill someone...like me or a member of my family innocently driving along... |

Curious, it's registered in NSW, lets hope he's in no rush to go back home
