Default FPV line up changes

Sounds like FPV have cut the F6 ute, GTE and F6E sedans from their line up effective July 1.

Is there an official announcement on this?
G6E's aren't FPV's though?

Highly doubt they would cut the F6 Ute out. It's practically the same as an XR6T mechanically. Just with different trim bits.

That's a shame, GTE & F6E are my two favorite FPV models but if they are not selling then there is not a lot of point making them.....

It makes sense following the withdrawal of Prodrive. With Ford now producing all the FPVs it makes sense for them to consolidate the line-up and minimise overlap.
However it appears the death of 1000 cuts is continuing. I assume that they will try to phase out performance utes in the hopes that buyers will instead opt for performance sedans rather than an opposition ute. If a “Falcon” is available in the future (beyond the life of the current platform) I doubt it will include a ute.

I just wish Ford would timetable things a bit more clearly, so that I can plan accordingly. I WANT to buy one of the last Falcons, but I want it to be a V8 performance Falcon. I'm worried that by the time Ford finally comes clean and says “There will be no more Falcon after date X,” I will be left scrambling to buy the only performance variant left; some FWD with a 1.5l ecoboost.

barra240t sells FPV vehicles in his family's dealership. I would be fairly confident that he does not get his info from some journo's web site.

The OP is a Ford Dealer isn't he? I'd say he'd have the inside scoop.

Is a shame though, soon it'll be down to XR6 and G6 left.

Makes commercial sense IMO as GTE's and F6E's have been the slowest selling models for years.

That puts me out of buying another FPV then, the other models don't really do it for me and stripes scream mid-life crisis too much.

What about a GTP without stripes (which can be done from factory) and we remove your decklid spoiler and replace it with a lip spoiler?

Still has the panda eyes.

Actually this is the primary reason why I did not buy an F6 in 2008.

Panda eyes, stripes and badges scream "look at me" and I prefer to just blend into the background unnoticed.

When I had my bright blue GT-P I was accused of doing several silly things by the traffic branch as it had been reported by "concerned residents".
On one occasion when I was reported hooning I was sitting watching state of origin with the then 2IC of traffic. The driver bright blue GT with the personalised plates was a bad person, shame it was the bright blue GT from Bundaberg that came to visit his rellies a bit.

When I bought my silver F6 I went almost unnoticed as it just looked like a silver falcon.

When the hoonline gets an urgent call from "wowsers inc." as they have just been over taken by a car doing 40km/h faster than them estimated at 101 in a 100 zone I prefer the description be a "silver or grey sort of big car like a holden or falcon or toyota and the rego was 12 something something I think there was a F in it" than "it was a bright red Falcon with black stripes, red wheels, loud exhaust, big GT-RSPEC badge and the number plate was TOO FAST".......

Actually, the R-SPEC badge is not that big. But, the R-SPEC can just be waiting at the traffic lights and it gets attention.

All joking aside, there's a lot in your post which is spot on.
