well in 1995 i bought a mini when gas prices went up and i was driving a 500+ hp charger to work at the cost of $ 80/ day . well last week i bought another mini cooper (late modle) with air con and a injected engine, so i can go for weekend fangs and not worry about cruzn from bouser to bouser. i drove from newcastle to brissy last saturday in the mini on 120-140 kph all the way for $ 70.00 at $ 1.26 ltr also got that miles per smiles factor back , never got that in the gt coupe

I know what thats like. My Brother In-Law has a Mazda MX5. They are fun to drive, however when I drove it, my foot could not lift off the brake. The drivers behind me were wondering why I was accelerating really quickly, however my break lights were on. The new Minis are great. Did you get a Cooper S? They are a lot of fun, especially when squirted. More power than you actually think. The torque steer is a problem however. -Andrew

Yeah Mini Coopers S rock. Except you might want to watch out for the handbrake. One went through my mates garage courtesy to failing. Now whats interesting is that the guy who owns the Mini had the same problem with his other Mini.

The original Mini's were designed by a 'vertically enhanced' bloke, apparently. He made them so he could fit! |

Mini's actually have plenty of room inside I'm 6'3 and had
more headroom in the mini than I have in the XF.

sensational car Dodge. i recent,y bought a 1995 Ltd Edition Cooper with half leather seats, 1.3i, 4 speed and air con and it is sensational. doesnt feel that quick in a straight line, but i believe (cos i would never get involved in anything illegal) they just have an edge over newer cars, such as a galant. so i am told...ahem.
however, when the road gets twisty, i couldnt agree more about the grin factor. nothing i have ever driven gets close to being as much fun. and on country trips, with the air on, i get approx 50-55 mpg. and NOTHING with 4 wheels gets close to it in peak hour traffic. there is no gap too small for the car :-) (not that i would ever cut someone off or anything like that, it is simply what i have heard...) mine is black with a white roof, white bonnet stripes and 4 spotties. now i have a digital camera, i will take a pic and post it one day :-) enjoy the car.. |
