Default Animal Cruelty. Makes Me Sick!!!

Just read in the paper today that a pet cat was lured by pizza and doused with lighter fluid and set alight. The five year old cat died four days later after being torched on October 27th. Both young men that were involved were both freed on bail to reappear in court on December 5th. I say don't free these assholes. Being a huge animal lover this sort of behaviour really saddens me and makes me feel sick. It's about time the law started to get tough with this sort of scum in society. There is just to much of this happening. What do you think?

Absolutely sickening! Even though cats are my least favourite animal there is no justification for such animal based cruelty.

Yeh, like you say -jjM-, drench them in petrol, let them burn and don't give them any pain relieving drugs. Let them suffer!!!

The real underlying problem with this type of cruelty to animals is it is a pre indicator of sociopathic tendencies always seen in rapists, murders and mass murders. When anyone identifies perpetrators of cruelty to animals, fire lightening and a number of other related paraphilias -such as snow dropping and exhibitionism, they need to be assessed by forensic psychiatrists as if not dealt with they will go on to commit worse crimes

I agree... $1.20 and the jobs done...even cheaper if you line em up one after the other that way it will only require one bullet.

It's a pitty 'proper' capital punishment is so expensive.

Yes their next victims will most probably be a person.
Why waste money on this scum trying to rehibilitate? Dispose of them before it's too late.

I agree. Laws really need to get tougher and fairer.

These guys should be locked up and treated appropriately.

Agreed.

There was an act of cruelty against a dog here in Vic a month or so ago by some young kids, they had beaten the poor thing to death. I haven't heard if these young b*stards were charged or not, but the dog apparently suffered a slow death. The law needs to get tougher against these low lifes, either jail or they get the same treatment as what they did to the poor animal.

That made me sick to the bottom of my stomach. I could barely handle hearing the story on the news. A baby Jack Russel.. It just leaves me speechless, wondering how humans can think like that or what they feel when they do it.

yeh these cruel acts get me mad.
i read a few weeks ago here in melb. that a puppy was kicked to death by some people breaking into the home.
and i remember hearing some kittens were beaten to death in sydney a while ago.
these people have issues and as mark said can lead to more things like rape and murder.

these people should be dealt with more harshly

Absolutely right. Back in high school a guy was boasting about torturing kittens. Initially I thought it was just talk but it turned out to be true. I broke several of his front teeth.

After reading discraceful s^&t like this it only fuels my hatred towards these people.

I've never heard of an "evil" animal.
It's a shame the same can't be said for the human race.

They should put down the children and "fix" the parents so they can never again bring such horrible cruelty to an animal.

It's great how the law is tough on you if you're going 10k over the speed limit, but beating an animal to death is not seen so bad. :(

I agree, the law should be tougher, but also more consistent. Murder a person and you only get a few years, where's the justice there? Where’s the deterrent? Get rid of PAROLE would be a good start.

With the help of my sister we rescued and raised 2 2 week old helpless kittens who were left behind after their feral cat mother was run over. Hearing about torture to animals sickens me. If a situation like MrSparkles confronted me I wouldn't hesitate to do what he did plus more. HOW F**KED IN THE HEAD ARE YOU TO DO THIS S**T??? I'm not a big guy but I wouldn't be scared at all to give someone a taste of their own medicine.

agreed, my partners a vet nurse and all should be dealt with, perhalps spray them with lighter fluid and give then a dose of their own medicine.

Call the RSPCA on every occasion they feel the same way.

The sickening thing is, that the people who do this get off easy and then a free to keep on doing it. Take the F$#kers out to the bush and kick the out of them, and drive off and leave them there to think about it. Like gt-p 390 said, A bullet would also work well.

Im not the biggest animal lover, but like many others have said, thats not the point. How can a person torture an innocent and in most cases defenceless animal...Oh wait we are talking about human beings. We have the ability to burn and kill people so why not animals i guess...its just sad.

I agree - torturing animals is disgusting and should be dealt with severely.

I don't know if it was just the Gold Coast Bulletin or most QLD papers, but did anyone else notice that the owner was a young attractive lady, pictured leaning over poor fluffy's grave in a very low cut top?

It's just sickening, there's nothing else to be said. Mark is right, studies show it can/does lead to other psychopathic behaviours later on in life.

Trying to pull at funerals (animal or otherwhise) is poor form indeed. Now be a good boy and go chase some cars...

I was merely referring to the tastelessness of the journalist/photographer involved. But chasing cars does seem appealing...
