For those of you who don't know. Our Rottweiler Roxy gave birth to 11 pups on 15/11, they are 4 wks today. there are 9 males & 2 females at this stage. They will be available from the first week in January, they are house trained (using a litter tray) and are very healthy, have been given clean bill of health by vet. If anyone on the forum is interested, they can p.m us, please remember that this breed are a large dog and when fully grown can weigh up to and above 50kg. thanks, Mark & Tracey.

Got pictures of these really cute little puppies? I wish I had the backyard for a Rotty, I reckon they are the most beautiful of large dogs.

Oh these are the cutest puppies... I so wish i had the backyard for one of these.
*sigh* Rotties are the most peaceful of dogs ever. I had the best experience with one of these for about 10 years, my uncle and auntie had one. Just absolutely beautiful dog. Perfectly acceptable pet for families with large backyard and willing to walk it heaps!

It's good that you have wormed them, but I hope you vaccinate them before sale at 8 weeks. |

yeah I agree, vaccinate them. Nothing worse then bringing home a puppy then having it die a few days later because of a disease that could be avoided.

Pups will have their first vaccination done. At this stage they are still too young. Vet advises between 6-8 weeks. When we say they have no papers, we mean a pedigree.
Oh, and will throw in the tails for free (attached to pups of course) |

I was scared of Rotties for ages ... then i was introduced to them when I met my fiancee ... and I can tell you ... they are a very loyal dog indeed.
Very friendly and loving dog (if you treat it well) ... good guard dog as well. But i must admit ... they are all bluff when barking ... hee hee. heat knocks them around when they get older though ... and hip displaisure (sp?) as well. My fiancee's brother's Rotty is 10 years old now ... winter is hard on his arthiritis ... but he just lays in the sun ... and barks at loud noises.

Would love one but live in Brisbane and already have two dogs.
I had one for 9 years with my ex-husband she was the best dog. She would lay beside our baby and not even touch her. She also saved our house from a fire by barking at me in the yard and then running to the kitchen window. I thought she was going mad but I had left the grill on with meat cooking and the flames were coming out of the griller. She was fantastic and still miss her heaps. She had two knee operations from falling off a retaining wall and then got arthritis. She eventually died of cancer but she was fantastic. Are you not allowed to dock their tails in VIC either? |

I Dont think you can here in QLD as well, its something like a $25,000 fine if you get caught doing it.
IMO a rotty doesnt look the same with a tail, then it does without one.
