Ford drivers tend to respect each other's rides - i'd rather cruise along and get a look at a nice XR as opposed to try and blow its doors off.
I imagine its probably the same between the holden drivers. Or between 2 swifts or between 2 corollas etc etc...

There seems to be a mutual respect between Ford drivers and therefore you won't get Ford guys trying to take you on at the lights. Everyone else though, an entirely different story.

maybe we just have more respect for our cars.Actually makes me feel good that these guys want to take me on, i mean without doing anything, they seem to be threatened by a female in a ford.

The other Fords don't appear to challenge you as they already know your car is good - it's a FORD!

Seriously, even in the GT, seems like every 'lad' in a Jap manufactured car wanted to run me. Oddly enough many HSV owners appear quite well behaved but I can't say the same for their pove pack V6 commodore worshipers.
