Default My car stolen last night

I still can't believe it. About 1.30 this morning I was woken to the sound of my XR8 starting up and reversing out my driveway. I got to the window in time to see a pair of tailights disapearing down the street. Notified the police straight away and made a report, but no sign of it. I always thought things like this would never happen to me. Luckily car is insured but who knows if i'll ever see it again. A##hole left two black lines down the street while driving off. I hope you get whats coming to you you lowlife scum.

Its an EL, taken from Grovedale. Keys are still here. If they want it bad enough and know what they are doing they will take it. This couldn't have been done by some punk joyrider with a coathanger thats for sure. I thought smartlock needed to be turned off before it can start. I don't understand it. Car was definately locked as I remember doing it before I came inside. I also heard a Subaru Forrester was stolen from Connells Subaru on friday night.

My mate lives in Grovedale. Been there once, but he makes me park on the street. So, I never visit. Apart from the 8 hour drive. I hope you get it back.

Mate that sucks! I hope it all works out for you.

The bloke that stole my BA XR6 is no longer around. Everyday I drive past a white roadside cross with his name on it- Riding a motorbike with no lights, at night with, no helmet and smacking into a mini-van will do that... Still I feel for the driver of the mini-van.

Karma is a ИИИИИ mate, He'll get his I'm sure. Just keep your chin up and move onward and upward.

Sorry to Hear your car was Stolen

THANK GOD YOU HAD INSURANCE at least thats something and sometimes
you can get back even more than your car is worth

As for Jabba stating on HOW TO

Knowing this forum if he didnt state how to then 100's of members would have a go at him saying you full of rubbish and you dont know what you are talking about NEXT they would ask how do you do it - You cant win either way - your damned if you do and damned if you dont

You know I am right so no point arguing :

Also I think XRQTOR knows a little but too much he he he lol

Only joking dude :

Correct, that is why I spilt the beans. I also told all to illustrate just how easy our cars are to steal and not become complacent on Smart lock

There are ways around smart lock, I am sure. I use to know a bloke who was in a lot of trouble from both the NSW and QLD police for ripping of HSV's (no, I was not his friend, we just trained at the same martial arts academy) His name is Vlad and yes he is doing time, were he belongs. Curiosity got the better of me and I had to ask how he was able to bypass the Holden security system...... "easy" he said " XXXXXXXXXX"........... As I said I don't know if the smart lock is anything like Holdens but if it is, your car is not all that safe............

I just want to clarifie,,,, I do not and never associated with this fellow, and I only new him for a short time. Last I heard he was doing time for stealing cars and drug charges............ ИИИИen scumbag

Smartlock is easy to get around. Easier than that Holden one. These ****ers have had 13 years to learn how to get aorund it.

Sorry to hear mate, at least it's covered.

Someone might want to remove the info on bypassing the Holden security system.
I know they're only Holdens, but they are someone's pride and joy as well, and it might not be a great idea to have it posted on a public forum.

Sorry to hear about your car getting taken, if you can't leave it in your driveway then where will it be safe? Hopefully the cops find it for you and it's not too badly damaged.

I was told today that the "secure" carpark where my baby is parked during the day while I'm at work was broken into on Sunday last week and the people went around smashing car windows.
Hopefully they didn't get someone's remote to open the door.
The stupid people who live there shouldn't leave doors open.

That is a loss. EL XR8's my favourite Ford model. Won't be joyriders. I think your shell may be found burnt out within next week. Or will end up rebirthed in different state.

Just out of interest what are they worth market value on insurance?

Some pricks probably stripping it of parts as we speak. I'm really stressing over what its going to be worth if I don't get it back. It was only insured for market value, and that may not be worth any more than 10k. I payed 17k for it a year and a half ago, with full factory bodykit and low k's. There's no way I could replace it for 10k. If it doesn't come back i'm going to be well out of pocket.

It's fairly common knowlage, that info isn't 1oo% correct and unless you know what to break on the steering coloum your stuffed. Same goes with the ignition barrel, there's another step that hasn't been mentioned.
