Just wondering if anyone has upgraded to HID's on a BA or BF Falcon.
If so, what "colour temperature" did you get? (6500K etc). And have you had any issues with legality? (Pulled over, told to change them etc.) Just curious, I am considering this and wondered what anyone's experiences might have been. |

With these lights, how hot do they get, would they melt the BA lights??
Will the BA lights turn yellow like the EF/EL ones do?? |

Belive it or not but it looks like the Magna boys beat you to this topic.

The problem with the "halogen" reflectors in the headlight is that they do not control the beam correctly and cause all manner of awful glare for oncoming drivers. I have found what you need to do is run a projector inside your headlight that can handle the HID globe. After 9 months of constant HID usage in a normal headlight it has started to burn the reflector directly above the globe. BAAAAADD. Mae sure you earthing is excellent otherwise you will get the odd flickering as well. It has been really good on mine ... even though i have the beam pointed down to reduce oncoming glare ... it's still glarey for other drivers though. There's a guy on FordMods that has modified his BA headlights with BMW X5 projectors with the actual BMW HID equipment ... even the correct D2S globes too. There's more involved in just whacking in an aftermarket HID kit ... it will slowly burn your halogen headlights and discolour your lense ... I am getting very slight browning of the the front clear lense as well.
