Default Relationship..When one is under age...

This is petty far off anything to do with cars but i needed to ask someone. Right now i am sitting at my bfs best mates house because they have taken off to the night clubs and i am only 16.He is 20 and works in the mines n i just think it was wrong for him to leave me here knowin i have nothin to do wen i left all my family and friends and moved six hrs away for him.

Any ideas on wat i should do wen he threatens to break up with me if i dnt let him go out with his mates often enough......

Are you his partner of his foster child ?
Plenty of older married people go out with friends and leave their respective partners at home, make some friends to hang out with while he goes to the pub.

As above or your relationship won't last. I used to leave my Mrs behind all the time. My mrs also left me behind many times too. It's called "trust".

nb..My mrs and I have been together for 12 going on 13 years.

I must say from personal experience, that it can be tough, hanging around older people.
I'ts even worse, when isolated in small town's.

Sometimes i find myself wondering what it would have been like to actually spend my teenage years with people my age, not having to keep a tight reign on my youthful enthusiasm for fear of looking like the "kid".
Doing adult stuff to avoid being left behind.
Drinking and smoking to look cool and feel a part of the group.

It makes you grow up too fast!
There's pleanty of time for intense relationships later.
Go home and enjoy your freedom, meet people your own age.
Be a teenager!
I can tell you, one day you will wake up and think "what am i doing here".

All the best
Steve

What like a child minding thing...??

Come on.. if you are old enough to be living away from your family (I don't believe you are personally - 16 is way to young to be shacked up with a guy in his 20s), then you are old enough to make your own friends..

If you can't find friends around your own age there, then maybe that is telling you something about your situation....

Sorry to be blunt but if my teen son tried to leave home to live with someone older, and move so far away I would be just as blunt to him.

Ask him if he knows of Lorraine Bobbit. That'll mess with his mind.

If you want some serious advice, I will happily give it..

You have the rest of your life ahead of you.. If things were bad at home I am sure there were other options than moving away to an area you are unhappy with.

The key here is you are UNHAPPY... you can not tell someone what they can or can't do.. it will kill the relationship quick smart..

You are young.. you will find someone who will appreciate you and RESPECT you and that you will find a comfortable place where you will be happy if he goes out with mates, or stays home....

You may think you are really mature, but you have so much more to learn yet..

Because we have made these sort of mistakes.. and if we could help just one person not to go through the pain and regret that we have, then that is great.

Good luck with everything...

By the sound of it you may be realising that it wasn't such a good idea leaving all your family and friends behind to be with your partner. Now when he's not there you have nobody to turn to, and he can't be there all the time. Hopefully you haven't burnt all your bridges. If you try to hold on to him 24/7 you'll just push him away.

Most towns even if small have some sort of sporting community. Join a sporting team make some friends that way. Maybe just maybe go to school or tafe if there is one and meet other people your own age. We have all made mistakes and have had to eat humble pie at some stage when you are ready to go home I am sure it will be better than you think. You probably would be better off in your own place as well; your boyfriend might be going out also to escape the other couple that you share with. Good luck with your decisions and they certainly are fairly big ones at 16. At 16 all I was interested in was weekend sport and going to watch the boys from school play footy.

clevo your BF has every right to go out with his mates every so often.you cant expect him to hang around you 24/7 otherwise he'll be known as whipped by his mates.

knowing you were 16 and he was 20 i thought you could see this happening, anyway once you get to legal age you will be able to go out with him to the pub. ;)
