-sigh-

It's a waste I'd say, just like those Lancer Evolution station-wagons.

WOW! Check out that price! That's flipping cheap! $18,990... so it's only $500 more then the 3dr Zetec.

I'm sorry to say... but should Ford Aust get enough supply of these (they seem to be an Australia-only model) then... it could well be the most popular model! Definitely in hot competition with the SwiftS.

Good work Ford!

Hi,

They will sell one to me. I need the 5 doors and i rather have an Zetec then an LX or Ghia. The only thing is that i wanted one in Frozen White, but that one comes with the "Moonlight Ruby" interior which we don't like. So, it most likely will be a Sea Gray instead with the "Moonlight Sapphire" interior.

Regards,

Rob

Good luck with the new Zetec Rob, surprises me though that you dont like the Red seats that come in the White, Black, Silver and Tango cars,.........iv'e got a White Zetec and I love the Red seats, they were one of the major decisions for me as to what colour I actually got the car in,....... the red seats really look the biz to me..........each to their own I surpose, be a boring world if we all liked exactly the same in everything.

I just also noticed that the Zetec now comes in "Colorado Red" as well as a host of other new colours.......Viola (Purple), Verdigris (Minty Green) and Ocean (Blue)

No Red available when I got mine!! : ..........."I do like the look of that new Ocean colour too though."

2 true.....the only thing that i would love the seats to be more of is more bolstered....thats all...apart from that the interior looks pretty good....i guess it was only time before this happened. as the XR4 is about to be released. they cant have 2 sprt models can they.

The Fiesta Zetec and Fiesta Ghia are virtually the same thing now. It makes one of them redundant. Personally I think that should be the Zetec five-door, as it gives some form of exclusivity to Ghia and 3-door Zetec owners.

Zetec will get the suspension, close ratio box and 16inch rims. And misses out on the 6stacker, map lights, chrome grill, color coded door handles etc.

While on the WP a 5door zetec would have been the same things on the WQ thats a different story.

I'd have to agree there.

Steffo - how many Ghias do you see on the road? Not many... How many Zetecs? Quite a few... which sparks the question - what do MORE people want, and what would sell easiest?

I know that my family friend hated the Ghia because it was a light colour interior (who the hell would want to look after that?! It would get dirty after one week's use!), yet didn't want an LX because it was a 'base' model and suffered from the poverty pack look (i.e. hubcaps and no foggies :P). So she settled for the Jazz VTiS : (Before you spark a debate - she is a 38yo Mother and wouldn't do things 'aftermarket'. Basically, she isn't an enthusiast like most of you. She buys a car because it looks good the way it is)

Same with me - I'd rather a Zetec 5dr over a Ghia 5dr.

And then, exclusivity? Please... we are talking about a FIESTA here :

Yeh, I dunno how much more grip do WQ Zetecs have compared to the LX's. I can tell you that I havent spent $2000 on the car yet. IMO if I've spent $2000 on the LX... the car is gonna be better than a stock WQ Zetec.

Oh and the foglights? lol I havent seen fogs thick enough that made me wish I have foglights.

Well the Zetec now presents it self much better value then it did in the WP model. We all know the differences, so I'm not going to go mention them all over again.

They are worth the extra $$$ you spend.

the reason ford has introduced the 5 door zetec is to meet the growing market of 5door small cars. LX 5door sales have jumped in the last year or so. i think these will be great, 5doors doesnt mean it looses it sporting appeal, i'd love one.

Oh, I always thought that the Fiesta is speed limited to 180kph.

Yes, the Fiestas I see on the road mostly are 5-door LX's. I prefer the look of the 3-door though.

I said they're incomplete, and that I'd never personally do the exhaust without going all the way.

Id be more than happy to have a WQ Fez 5Door Zetec 5speed for my daily driver. Which is about a 12 to 13 km trip into the CBD & up a muliti level carpark weekdays. Then have the XR6 for the weekends & long trips.

Teki they are NOT speed limited. They keep going till they don't have enough power to overcome drag (which is around 180kmh+)

Thank you. Again I get agrued against for telling you the truth. It is speed limited. At 190km/h the power is cut, and the car automatically decelerates. When it finally gives you power, it cuts out again when you reach 190km/h.

And yes there is a difference in actual speed and the speedo - so I'd probably say the 190km/h is in actual fact 184km/h, which I think I've read somewhere is the max speed of the Fiesta.
