Not too sure on the dates, but found these.
Here is a video from Top Gear comparing the Fiesta ST to the Citroen C2 VTS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT0yUkkQG8c and here's another one comparing the ST to the Colt CZT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkIKjFTa2kk

Thanks guys, I have most of the episodes of Top Gear on my PC but didn't know which one the ST was on.
Jeremy Clarkson certainly does sound like a bit of a fan of it, that's for sure. That Youtube link to the 5th Gear video was also interesting too, the ST track time was only just behind a Porsche Boxster!! Thanks again. |

From memory I watched the episode where they raced the Fiesta ST & Citroen VTS around the track & surprisingly the ST only won by a second or two which wasnt that impressive actually...go figure!?!

Just making the point the Fiesta ST/XR4 will not be the world-beater everyone thinks it is, the Citroen C2 VTS is lame & yet was on its tail the whole way :jab:

Fiesta XR4 = 110kW 190Nm 2.0, 1137kg C2 = 86.12kW/tonne and 136.84Nm/tonne Fiesta = 96.74kW/tonne and 167.10Nm/tonne Sorry but no, the power/weight isn't even close. Oh, and 2 sec on a track, especially a tight one like the Top Gear one, is an eternity in motor racing.

Don't forget the VTS is only 0.1s behind the Fiesta ST in lap times in EVO.
ATSEIF DROF - have you driven a VTS and Fiesta ST to compare? I've driven a Citroen C2 VTS (cousin also owns a VTR, so driven that too) and the VTS and VTR are completely different! The VTS is actually a really good ride, fun to drive... and I quite like the styling too.

Btw may have over-estimated the track gap it was probably 1 second at most he was right on his tail. Havent driven the VTS looked at it when buying Fiesta but didnt like the build quality it turned me off straight away...
