On a EA EB ED EF or EL if thats the only modiciation you are going to do then its prob not worth the money - over $200 I think they are.............

What car are we talking about that it is going to be used on?

I do admit they do look good BUT how many times are you going to show off whats under the hood?

well, maybe i have a rare good one, but we have a full SS Inductions kit on our VY SS series 2, manual, and its great, much better that stock, and better furl economy, which i wasnt expecting, dunno about how it goes on the fords though

fordgirl, what model falcon are we talking about?

I looked the ss inductions for my BA, and yes they look impressive, but I did the same job with genuine ford parts for about a third of the price...

Yeah they are massive for the SS :-


The EF to AU is nothing special - thats just what I think and I am no mechanic or specialist

um im not sure but on the last picture isnt the ignition leads pointing to the injectors not the leads?

Well i stole it from the SS Induction Site so that just goes to show they know nothing about the E-Series Fords

My brother has an SS inductions TB on his BA XR6T, he said it makes a noticable difference in both power and economy

i have a BA ute 2005 model. what sites can u recommend for falcon induction kits then. i have a exhaust on it at the moment then in next few weeks to month will get extractors and high flow cat then after induction system. what do u fellas recon i should put on for bigger and better air flow?

Hmm yeah, I think the I6 ignition leads go over the rocker cover to the other side.

I know they plug into the spark plugs maybe its meant to represent the coil packs the other end the leads plug into underneither all that **** haha :P

The SS Inductions "big mouth" intakes have been shown to consistently make less power than the stock intake when tested on the dyno. People have lost up to 10 rwkw with these things.

What the "big mouth" actually does is make more noise which gives the illusion of more power. Any perceived gains in speed are actually from the lightened wallet of the driver. That and possibly pride. People don't like spending $500 on a piece of plastic only to be told it doesn't work.

Those Typhoon intakes look good. They're a genuine Ford part, significantly cheaper than SS Reductions and by the looks of things do a much better job to boot!

no, as it was done at townville tafe, where my uncle works, the car was used as a demonstrater to show them how a dyno worked, but it is booked in in 3 weeks to go on a dyno, will post pictures of the dyno sheet though. why is that so hard to believe

I'm assuming it was on the same dyno on the same day then?
If you have a Ba/Bf falcon grab the bf xr8 snorkels if you own a 6.

fordgirl, I would look at the Typhoon upper intake, which is twice a big as the standard snorkel. Then get the lower GT snorkel which sits behind the headlight into the air box. Throw in a performance filter and you should be right. This is the setup that I have.

Well i got one of the ss inductions in my au xr6 and my ac pully ended up rubbing a hole into the snorkle! i ended up buying a stock one again on ebay i cant tell the difference between the two!

Look at the sponsor sites in the banner at the top of the page.
Click on Bluepower, BPT, Herrod etc.
Depending upon what state you are in.
I wouldnt go the typhoon setup, thou larger, it is basically the same as what you have got.
You have the exhaust, you mention you will be going headers and cats, not much more too do.
Have you considered having it flash tuned?

I put the ba tube aircleaner inlet on my bf ute got an extra 20 rwkw with just that it cost $97 from ford.I did a dyno run with it blocked up then a dyno run un blocked.
It sits under front left headlight took 45 min to put on the car.

IMO SS stuff are for people who mod there car, and couldn't be bothered researching creditable aftermarket places.

I put the ss cai on my GT-P and I found no difference at the drags or on the dyno. Cost me more than $500 after I put a hole in the radiator when drilling the one hole on the drivers side of the front panel...ouch. I was pretty upset when I found no performane gain. I would suggest something else for your money.

I paid $120 for my SS Induction kit, installed it myself. Used with a foam filter it works well. BTW, it took me more than five hours to fit since I rejigged it differently. It took a long time for the ECU to get used to it but it makes a difference without a doubt.

In principle they must add value with more air going into the engine but you can get better products for less or around the same value.
