Received the following by email from "GM Holden LTD".
Seems they are following Ford's lead with the Territory in asking Australians what they want in a car. Unfortunately it does seem a tad simplistic to me. The worst thing is there is no box for written comments. So I put some in here. ............ Hello Tony, As a Holden owner [well Ford owner actually, but what the heck - my wife owned a Holden once but why not win over your female customers by writing to the husband only?], what you think about your car matters a great deal to us. So much, in fact, that your opinions could help shape the future not only of Holden vehicles, but our after sales service, accessories - virtually everything we do. All we ask for is 60 seconds of your time now to answer 11 simple questions. To start, just click here. It’s that easy, and it should genuinely take you no more than a minute to provide your answers. From everyone at Holden, sincere thanks for your contribution to the future of Australian motoring. Narelle Stack Customer Relationship Manager Thank you for helping to shape the future of Holden [future?] Please answer each question by checking the 'Yes' or 'No' box as appropriate. When you have completed all 11 questions, simply click the submit button. It’s that easy. 1. I currently own a Holden Yes No [Narelle didn't you just say I owned one?] 2. I regard myself as a bit of a car enthusiast Yes No [only after we sold the Holden] 3. I would like a car that handles like a racing car Yes No [go the Camry!] 4. I will only buy a car with a proven track record Yes No [see Q. 3] 7. I tend to select a vehicle that works in with my recreational pursuits or my job even if it isn't my first choice in styling Yes No [see Q. 3] 8. I tend to look for the most basic, value for money car that will do the job Yes No [see Q. 3] 9. I am passionate about motor sport Yes No [go Ford!] 10. I place more emphasis on functional features than styling elements when deciding which vehicle to purchase Yes No [Mack truck?] 11.
