Hunt for man punching kangaroo

THE RSPCA is hunting a youth shown punching and kicking a kangaroo unconscious in an online video.

The video was sent to the RSPCA in Western Australia and shows the youth using kickboxing-style attacks while his friend laughs and films.
In one scene the man pulls the kangaroo towards him and uses his knee to deliver a blow to the animal's chest.

Eventually the youth punches the roo unconscious although it is not clear whether the attack resulted in the animal's death.

There was a kangaroo loose in the Adelaide Suburbs (suburbs surrounding the city to be exact) today, crossing main roads, i didnt hear about it approaching anybody, and it was on a road thats hosting a rather large show atm.

The courts need to get tougher on animal cruelty offenders.
RSPCA do the hard yards to get a case, only to have the offender stroll out of court with a $400 fine.
Whatever happened to enforcing the maximum penalty?
Edit- Screw the $400. Start at a $10k minimum penalty and work your way up from there.

Sure it's awful that he was punching an unconcious animal, thats sick, but are you gonna label me a sick person when I wipe one out with my car in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night? They are a pest. People shoot them on properties to try control their numbers. And if farmers weren't shooting them, what would all the trendy people eating roo meat in expensive cafes eat with their tofu instead?

There's a bit of a difference between shooting an animal and taunting one till it's dead/unconscious...and if it is true that the roo was already injured, then one can't get much lower than that.

Does anyone remember those 4 guys who got filmed kicking a kitten at a train station a few years ago? WTF goes through these peoples heads???

I'll try to answer your question... my opinion anyway.

It's not the head that is the problem, it's what resides in the heart/soul which prompts us to do what we do. In this case, the hearts have no sense of mercy or compassion, no fear from retribution and consequence to themselves. The soul accumulates it's wretchedness over time, thus leaving it hard and dark, depriving the mind of Light and Real understanding.

this is sick. This is just as bad as those sick **cks in sydney a few years back who set a german shepard which had gotten free from its home alight with petrol. People like this should be put away, and put away for a long time with a lot of shock treatment.
