I didn't know Rob had a branch in London?... Does he do helix spacers for Ferraris and Astons too?

bloody hell, thats ALOT of cars.. good on him for enjoying what he loves and being imaginative enough for build ferrari WAGONS(albeit, they are the ugliest cars i've ever seen but still)

hmmm.. wish i had his number - im sure he wouldnt mind throwing a few grand my way :P

I'd love to see what he'd do to a FG Falcon though considering he's got 4wd bentley's, Wagon bentley's, wagon ferrari's and all the other unique custom cars he's had made..

how nice is that nazca beemer...
not bad at all...
but how does he keep up to date on the servicing schedules of these things?
he must have a seperate bank account for the bills... considering most of them are probably over a thousand dollars for a very basic service...

That has to be the most disgusting example of excess I have ever seen. I am so glad that we pay so much for fuel so this twerp can buy cars he will never drive (multi million dollar cars).

I need to vomit!

you would be surprised at how cheap oil can be taken from the ground. in iraq it's roughly $5 a barrel...

it's like a museum tho. whatb would happen to them otherwise?

and if the country ever gets into a bit of financial difficulty.....

I think you'll find a lot of those cars will be for government staff and for those who look after the maintenance of the Istana, the Sultans' palace. I couldn't see him driving or riding in a Kijang.

I've worked in Brunei for 13 of the last 16 years; it's a peaceful country pretty free of bad influences. Non-muslims can work here, the local population includes Chinese and some Indians but the majority are the Malays.

Foreigners cannot buy property here.

The cost of living is fairly cheap compared to Australia but we don't get the same range of goods, groceries and foods that we have in Australia. Diesel is B$0.33 per litre and Premium 97 is $0.57 per litre.

The Sultan regularly drives himself around, even to official functions, and the cars I see him in the most are the current ML63 and superseded ML55. There is always a police escort and they manage the traffic pretty well.

For other official or royal functions he is chauffered, not sure of the spelling there!

We will be heading back to Australia for good at the end of this year, mainly because my parents are getting on in age and I want to spend more time with them and for them to have time with the grandchildren. Overall though we have enjoyed our time in Brunei and my impression of the Sultan is one of a caring monarch and, despite the car list being a long one, he does not come across as too extravagant.

Cheers
