Mate that makes for a very expensive ute, wonder how many they'll move. Some of those focus's are a rip off, bloke who bought my old car has a au3 xr8 and a brand new 6spd focus that he paid $41,ooo for. Could have bought a nice leftover MKI xr8 for that price

Would be good if the euro Mondeo made it out here...had a burn in one the other week and the thing went really well....180kw V6 (ST220 i think the model was) nice 6spd box, great handling and great interior...which i'm told could be seen in other Ford models...

Hi Rodderz.

Just wondering where you managed to get hold of the ST220 in Aus? They were on sale here in NZ for while in Hatch and station wagen form until very recently.

They are a fantastic car with great handling and build quality. However the current model Mondeo is nearing the end of its life with a replacement coming out either late next year (2005) or sometime in 2006.

I'm fairly sure the ST220 is 166kW, or was it modded, anyway fantastic car, especially as they come in a wagon as well, the only Ford performance wagon down these parts

You sure, I thought that Oz never got the MK3 (current shape) Mondeo, ST220 is a MK3 only, the previous MK2 was a ST200.

They wont be sold over here in australia, this one was over here for evaluation purposes by Ford. Yes it was a good car, it was certainly high in the standards with handling, driveability etc as the focus and fiesta are. Not for me (V8 here!) but for what it is it's a brilliant car

If you're talking about Australia, then we only got the ST24. The ST200 was never sold here.

Ahh yes the 4.0 V6 Courier. Had a drive of one last month and it certainly had some get up and go. Can't wait till it's official release.
