They still do a fair bit of stuff for themselves. Brake rotors, suspension arms, cross members, brackets, panels etc.

Good point. From a bigger perspective you could include the product engineering and procurement processes which a CKD plant would lack.

But perhaps the line is getting blurred between the two concepts nowadays.
