As many know I have a super low km bf2 xr6t with zf auto, all options leather and sensible mods for 330rwkw. Most likely the lowest km best condition b series xr6t in existence
I know someone that has a BA model GT he has kept in the garage with 14700km, it's a minter.. Absolutely big stock He has suggested of a trade Should I entertain this thought? Both cars are minters so condition isn't a problem... But here are my concerns Performance wise my xr6t would pummel it every which way Future desirability of a genuine fpv GT or bf2 xr6t? I know my car is mint and no issues but you never know with other cars, could be a Friday arvo built GT or if he's hit it and it's been repaired. His GT is cloth seats whilst mine is leather Mine is a late 2007 BF2 and his a 2004 BA1 model Stock boss 290 5 speed vs i6t zf with sensible mods Double my mileage Swap or keep what I got? |

Is it a straight swap? If so i would take the GT anyday. Performance doesnt matter if its garage queen.

Is the rear seal of the GT leaking?
Will he fit AMG badges to it? I recommend you get advice from your neighbours and mates at a BBQ. After all they are the ones who will judge you.................................... |

Swap your car for a new Camry....what's wrong with you.
No one can see your ODO when driving your car. Everyone is just laughing at the loser driving an 8 year old car. Its had 2 model changes already. Now you want to go 11 years old and 3 models ago. |

You'd want to get the GT thoroughly inspected before trading or you might need a padded room once you realise you traded a mint BF2 for a not-so-mint BA1. I'll go against the grain and say stick with the car you know.
Also, people who buy BAs for investment purposes belong in the same padded room, imo. |

I'm a V8 man through and through but I still couldn't make a decision like that unless I saw the cars.
Post up photos of both so we can see how they actually look stance wise, colour etc. |

Pics of both cars and ODO as well or the whole thing is just drug fuelled BS.
Oh....and after checking rear main seal and it isnt leaking, id take the GT without hesitation, but he'd probably want 5k in cash as well as the swap. Hulk, you're a classic....

if you plan on keeping it for a long time, look at it this way, even though the xr6t is faster in 10 years the gt will still be worth something where the xr6t will be worth nothing..

Actually, changed my mind, do it, then you can tell us all about how bad it is and the lack of low down torque, engine ticking noises, poor fuel consumption, diff bushes, and the 4 speed BTR box etc etc etc, and then when the engine needs a rebuild.
