Been to Malta a few times. Being as tiny and exposed as it is, and an island surrounded by salt water, any car manufacturing would have a large problem with the acidic salty air.

I have pics of the local police cars (daewoo's) and one had a rust hole in the door skin that you could fit half a hand through.

Good for some delicious food and ladies that were pleasing to the eye :
