Default Mondeo 2.0L Petrol EcoBoost or 2.0L Diesel TDCi

I'm after a bit of advice, opinions and/or experience.

I am looking at a new (2017) Mondeo and am trying to decide between the Diesel and Petrol. I'd be interested to know what people's thoughts are and opinions etc.

To add a bit of a thorn into the conversation the Diesel sounds like it might be difficult to get (i.e a month to 2 of more wait verse a few days for the petrol). Part of me wonders if that is because they were so popular or... Ford just stuffed up ordering.

Anyway... any help would be much appreciated.
